Ludwig Bachmann

I am an Industrial Design student at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. I was born and raised in Germany, where I completed a professional carpentry apprenticeship. During my exchange semester I studied glass at Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem and am currently working as an assistant in a Viennese Ceramic Studio. I am planning to graduate in spring 2026. I have come to seek parameters that guide my design process within the realm of craftsmanship. It is within the craft approach that we find the connection to all kind of materials, the purpose of an object, and its subsequent use. I have made it my mission to explore this sensual potential and translate it into serial production.
