The 15th edition of the Mikser Festival is marking a transformative step by moving from Belgrade to Novi Pazar from June 5–7, 2026. Under the theme “Novi Svijet” – “New World”, this move is a strategic and symbolic step toward a city that stands as a powerful symbol of civic courage, solidarity, and social awakening. Against the backdrop of nationwide student-led protests fighting against injustice and corruption, Novi Pazar emerged as an inspiring symbol of unity, restoring hope that a region built on mutual understanding and shared values is truly possible.
A historic crossroads where East meets West, Novi Pazar provides the ideal stage to weave a shared future through design, architecture, open dialogue, youth engagement, and sustainability.
Festival Highlights
Through a rich program of talks, exhibitions, workshops, and music, Mikser Festival 2026 brings together local communities, regional creatives, and international experts.
Next Gen Design Residency: Ten selected young designers will participate in an intensive design residency mentored by Prof. Jelena Matić and local architect Semir Poturak.
Next Gen Design Travelling Exhibition: Futures Worth Living Novi Pazar, the first stop of the Next Gen Design Travelling Exhibition 2026 edition, brings 50 visionary projects by 73 young European designers to Novi Pazar, using a bold outdoor installation to showcase hopeful design solutions for people and the planet— grand opening on June 5th at 19.00h, Design HUB.
