Designing Togetherness
Designing Togetherness is the Edu Talk by Amanda Pinatih, design and contemporary art curator at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. In the talk Amanda shared her work on SIDELINE: A Space for Togetherness at the Venice Biennale 2025. The project reimagines a sports bar as a playful yet critical space that questions social rituals and dynamics of exclusion. She will also reflect on diversity in design, the role of young generations, and how the Stedelijk Museum applies inclusion in its curatorial practices.
This talk took place during Barcelona Design Week 2025 as part of the Next Gen Design Edu Talks series organized by Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation. Next Gen Design is a three-year initiative promoting green and sustainable design within the European design sector, especially among young designers, supporting the European Green Deal. The program involves collaborations between five key design platforms and festivals: Skopje Design Week (Public Room), Mikser Festival from Belgrade (Mikser), designaustria, What Design Can Do from Amsterdam, and Barcelona Design Week (Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation), with support from the European Commission.
